Professional Wooden Flute Headjoints – Alexandre Lavoie Workshop
Based in Montreal, Quebec, Alexandre Lavoie is both a flutist and artisan, trained in classical and jazz performance. After studying under flute maker Jonathan Landell and completing a specialized program in digital programming and machining at the Aerospace Trade School, he has dedicated himself since 2017 to crafting high-end wooden headjoints.
Each Lavoie headjoint combines meticulous craftsmanship with technical precision. Alexandre draws inspiration from the unique tonal qualities of different woods to offer flutists a rich and expressive sound palette, perfectly suited to the needs of professionals and passionate players alike.
Crafted with the highest precision:
• The Lavoie Symphonic headjoint is crafted from a single piece (lip plate and tube).
• The riser is meticulously finished by hand with absolute precision.
• The headjoint’s cut and dimensions are inspired by the legendary designs of Albert Cooper, guaranteeing refined acoustical performance.
• The tenon is made of sterling silver.
• Each headjoint also features a handmade brass stopper and crown system, silver-lacquered and specially designed to provide greater power, projection, and sound focus.
