Xeno Artist "New York" BR Series C Trumpets
The Yamaha YTR-9445NYS-YS-BR and YTR-9445NYS-YM-BR represent the latest evolution of Yamaha's flagship Xeno Artist New York Series. Developed in collaboration with world-renowned orchestral trumpet players, the BR models introduce a redesigned construction featuring additional brass components that enhance resonance, flexibility, and tonal brilliance while preserving the exceptional intonation and response that have made the Xeno Artist series a benchmark for professional musicians.
Designed for symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, and soloists, both C trumpets share the same premium construction but differ in their bell design, offering two distinctive tonal personalities to suit different musical preferences.
Two Distinct Tonal Characters:
Yamaha YTR-9445NYS-YS-BR
• The YS-BR features Yamaha's renowned YS4 bell combined with the MC2 Malone Pipe™ leadpipe.
This configuration delivers:
• Powerful projection
• A focused, compact tonal core
• Exceptional articulation and attack
• Fast, responsive playability
• Outstanding stability throughout the entire range
The BR construction adds an all-brass valve casing together with brass top and bottom valve caps, resulting in a brighter sound, increased resonance, and a freer blowing feel while maintaining the focused orchestral sound for which the YS model is renowned.
Yamaha YTR-9445NYS-YM-BR
The YM-BR features the wider-flare YM bell, developed in collaboration with Tom Rolfs, Principal Trumpet of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
This design provides:
• A broader, more expansive sound
• Greater depth and warmth
• Rich harmonic complexity
• Excellent sound dispersion for large concert halls
Combined with the BR construction, the YM-BR offers remarkable flexibility, effortless response, brilliant projection, and outstanding tonal refinement, making it an ideal choice for orchestral musicians seeking a rich, colorful sound.
